Anti spam

The email server operated by JoeTourist® InfoSystems has been configured to automatically reject common spam messages through a basic content filter.  Our customers typically experience at least a 50% drop in spam when using our services, and some experience over a 90% drop.

Please note: keywords are delimited with semi-colons.

White List

Any Domain Name appearing on our White List (below) is trusted to not be a source of spam, and therefore our content filters (listed above) are not applied to email received from these sources.

Domains which JoeTourist owns or operates are italicized. Common carrier domains our clients often receive email from are bolded.  Individual email addresses can also be White Listed upon request, but do not appear in the above list in order to protect their privacy.

What to do about rejected emails

If you are a client of JoeTourist® InfoSystems and one of your legitimate correspondents email messages are being rejected by our email server, there are several things you can do:

bulletPlease direct them to this web page and ask them to re-send their email after omitting the above-listed keywords.
bulletIf they have an alternate email account with one of the common carriers listed in our White List, ask them to resend their message using that account.
bulletIf this scenario repeats itself and becomes annoying, please ask your correspondents to send their email using this web form.  You can add their email address to your personal White List by logging onto the web interface for your email account, and clicking on "Settings", "Server Settings".  For help setting this up for the first time, please Contact us.
